Summary Extreme cold wave also continues to grip most parts of the country.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Dense fog Thursday continued to blanket different cities of the country including Lahore, Gujranwala and affected schedule of several international and domestic flights while intense cold grips upper parts of the country.
Fog has also affected road traffic as the visibility level lowered. Motorway police has warned people of unnecessary travel and directed to drive carefully.
The fog also disrupted trains and flights schedule. Dense clouds of fog engulfed Lahore in the early hours of Thursday.
According to Met Office, the foggy spell is likely to continue for the next three days.
Meanwhile, wave of extreme cold continues to grip the upper parts of the country. Temperature dropped to minus 11 degrees Celsius in Parachinar area of Kurram Agency that halted the routine life.
Cold wave also continues to grip several areas of Balochistan including Quetta, Ziarat, Qalat, Qilla Saifullah and Zhob.
Different areas of Gilgit-Baltistan are also under the grip of extreme cold. Temperature in Astore area dropped to minus 9 degrees Celsius.
According to Met office, rain is expected in some areas of Sargodha, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Malakand, Hazara Division, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir while light snowfall is expected in hilly areas.
