Summary Special court's three-member bench resumed hearing of Musharraf treason case.

Islamabad (Dunya News) - Three-member bench headed by Justice Faisal Arab has resumed hearing of treason case against former military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf. 

During case proceedings, Prosecutor General Akram Sheikh argued that the learned court could issue the arrest warrants of the ex-president bcause he has failed to appear in the court.

Akram Sheikh cited the example of Egypt s ex-president Hosni Mubarak who was brought in the court on a stretcher.

The court should not wait for the accused, added the prosecutor general.

Earlier today‚ the Islamabad High Court (IHC) reserved verdict on a petition filed by Musharraf, seeking exemption from apperance in the Special Court.
