LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed has said that he’s being threatened by banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and claimed that he’s not provided with the adequate security.
While talking to Dunya News, AML chief said that he had received a threatening call from Taliban some two days ago which relayed the death threats.
He further said that police and interior minister has been informed about the threat but he has not been provided with additional security as yet.
According to Sheikh Rashid, he’s been targeted at least four times in the past.
Incidents involving Taliban’s targeting have increased in the recent while. TTP’s latest executed high value target was of slain SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam who was martyred, Thursday, on call of duty.
Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq called Sh Rashid to inquire about his wellbeing and assured support.
