Summary Strict security measures have been adopted in major cities today (Tuesday).

(Web Desk) – Despite tight security measures on the occasion of chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A), at least three people have lost their lives and more than 15 injured in separate bomb blasts in the troubled metropolis, Dunya news reported.

A bomb planted near an electricity poll on MA Jinnah Road exploded, however, no lose of life has been reported in the incident.

The incident occurred at the main road from where the chehlum procession was expected to pass after Namaz-e-Zohrain.

According to Additional IG Shahid Hayat, the blast was carried out to spread panic in the area.

Separately, two back to back roadside blasts took in Orangi Town No. 10 area, killing at least three people including a 13-year-old boy.

Several others also sustained injuries and they were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

On the other hand, three people including two children were injured in a grenade attack in Qasba Colony area.
