LAHORE (Web Desk) - A meeting of Director General Military Operations of Pakistan and India is underway at Wagah border to work out a mechanism to ease tension and ensure peace at the Line of Control.

Pakistani side is being led by Director General Military Operations Major General Aamer Riaz while the Indian side by Lieutenant General Vinod Bhatia.

One brigadier and three lieutenant colonels from each side are also participating in the talks to assist their heads.

Meanwhile‚ Inter-Services of Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement has said decision for holding meeting between Pakistan and Indian DGMOs was taken on political level.

The DGMOs will discuss issues pertaining to tension on Line of Control [LoC] and other related issues on the working boundary with a focus to maintain ceasefire and bring normalcy.

Under a mechanism‚ the Director General Military Operations of the two countries are to hold regular contacts to reduce tension along the Line of Control.
