Chehlum security: Sindh govt decides to ban pillion riding in four cities

Summary Sindh govt finalised a plan to ensure foolproof security during the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain.

(Web Desk) – Sindh government has decided to impose ban on pillion riding in four major cities of the province on the occasion of Hazarat Imam Hussain s Chehlum, Dunya News reported.

Additional Chief Secretary of Sindh Home Department chaired a meeting to review security plan for the upcoming event. Commissioner Karachi, DIGs and Rangers officials attended the meeting.

According to plan, pillion riding will be banned in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Khairpur on December 23 and 24.

The home department has also requested the federal government to suspended mobile phone service on the occasion to avert any untoward incident.
