LAHORE (Dunya News) - The intensity of cold weather has increased as dense fog has engulfed several areas of Punjab and Khyber Paktunkhwa.
Allama Iqbal International Airport has been closed for all national and international flights due to dense fog whereas M1 Motorway from Peshawar to Swabi has also been closed.
The thick fog in Lahore badly disrupted the schedule of national and private airlines after which the airport had been closed. All departing flights were delayed and the incoming flights were diverted to other airports.
Meanwhile, M2 Motorway from Lahore to Islamabad has been closed for heavy traffic due to low visibility. The Motorway Police have advised the drivers to drive at a low speed and keep the fog lights on.
