Summary Sindh Information Minister said the government will write a formal letter to Election Commission.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Sindh cabinet has given an approval to hold local government (LG) polls in March.
On the contrary, the Supreme Court (SC) had ordered to hold LG polls on January 18.
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said the government will write a formal letter to Election Commission tomorrow for holding of LG polls in March.
On the other hand, the Election Commission said that the schedule for LG polls in Sindh could not be issued since the government didn’t complete all legal procedures.
Earlier today, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah also said the government wanted to hold local bodies (LB) elections in March.
