It also directed authorities to immediately ban public transport without fitness certificate, adding that the regional transport authority should allot vehicle fitness certificates on merit.
The owners of private transport should dispose off substandard gas cylinders.
Meanwhile, Supreme Court also ordered to ban illegal buying of petrol and LPG.
At least 14 children of a private school died when a bus caught fire in Gujrat in May, 2013. The children were aged between five and 15 years while a teacher also died in the accident. The court took a suo motu action following the incident.
