Summary An accountability court heard the case pertaining to five NAB references against Zardari.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The accountability court has summoned former president Asif Ali Zardari in National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) references case and adjourned the hearing till December 23.
A judge of accountability court Muhammad Bashir heard the case pertaining to the five references against Zardari.
The references against Zardari include polo ground, SGS, Cotecna, ARY and Ursus tractors.
During the course of hearings, counsel for Zardari, Farooq H Naek said his client had security issues.
Charge hasn’t been framed against Zardari in polo ground case, Farooq Naek said.
Meanwhile court had already acquitted other accused in these references.
The accountability court took a suo motu action and reopened five references against Zardari in October, 2013. Earlier, the references were deferred because he enjoyed constitutional immunity during his tenure as President of Pakistan.
