Against drone strikes: PTI chokes Nato supply for ninth day in Peshawar

Summary Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf's sit-in against Nato supply started after a protest rally in Peshawar.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The sit-in staged by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and its allied parties to block the Nato supply routes to Afghanistan in protest against drone strikes continued for the ninth consecutive day on Sunday.

PTI along with activists of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Awami Jamhouri Ittehad blocked various points including Peshawar’s Ring Road, Hayatabad toll plaza, Khairabad area and Sawabi interchange to choke Nato containers.

According to details, the activists checked documents of trucks and screened goods to block Nato container.

Meanwhile, five activists accused of torturing a truck driver have been arrested. According to police, raids are being conducted to arrest others involved in the torture case.
