MOHMAND AGENCY (Dunya News) - At least three security officials have been martyred and two injured after militants attacked security forces in Baizai Tehsil of Mohmand Agency.
According to the security sources, some unidentified armed attackers opened fire at the security check post in Baizai area of Mohmand Agency near Afghan Border, leaving three security men martyred and two others injured on the scene.
The military have also confirmed that three security personnel martyred in the attack in Baizai and that they belonged to the Swat Scouts.
Bodies of the martyred security officials and injured security men were moved to Peshawar for official check up and proceedings.
Mohmand is one of Pakistan’s seven tribal agencies near the Afghan border which are rife with homegrown insurgents and are said to be strongholds of Taliban and al Qaeda operatives.
