ISLAMABAD (Dunya news) – Police have presented an incomplete challan in the Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad in which Sikandar has been formally declared accused.
Police told court that Sikandar used his children as a shield to spread panic and fear in the federal capital.
Traffic on the Blue Area road remained suspended for five hours due to the gunman, police told court.
The challan included testimonies of 30 witnesses including police officials, doctors, hotel administration and arms dealer.
Malik Sikander, armed with at least two assault rifles, an AK-47 and a latest sub machine gun (SMG), started shooting at Jinnah Avenue and held the federal capital hostage for several hours on August 15.
The armed standoff, came to end after an unarmed Pakistan Peoples Party leader, Zamarud Khan risking his life grabbed the armed man leading to his arrest.
