LAHORE (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said Islam teaches tolerance with all other religions but the protection of Islamic culture is also essential.
He was addressing International Literary and Cultural Conference here on Saturday. The PM said there is a need to create awareness about the challenges being faced by the Islamic culture‚ along with the challenges present in the fields of economics and politics.
He said that Islamic culture is of global nature and scope. The Muslim scholars‚ intellectuals and scientists provided the basis for present progress of science and technology.
Nawaz termed the renowned personalities of literature and culture as the asset of Nation because they are performing their duty of guiding and training morally‚ ethically and socially.
He stated that Pakistan is facing multi-furious issues and challenges while terrorism and economy are at the top of the list. He maintained despite all these challenges the government is committed to take the country out of these crisis.
Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan enjoys cordial relations with its neighbors including China‚ Iran and Afghanistan and we want likewise relations with India also.
