Summary Information Minister Pervez Rashid criticised PTI's protest against US drone attacks.
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Information Minister Pervez Rashid on Saturday criticized Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf (PTI) and termed its protest a dual policy on the issue of the US drone attacks.
Talking to media in Lahore, the Information Minister said that Pakistan is a democratic country where everyone has right to favour or oppose any government decision and policy.
He said that on one side‚ the PTI as a party is protesting against the drone attacks while its provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would remain aloof.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) today is all set to protest against the drone strikes and before the massive rally, the Ring Road in Peshawar has been closed for Nato supplies by placing containers.
It may also be mentioned that the provincial cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Friday, expressed strong condemnation over drone strike in Hangu district and decided to hold protest demonstrations and rallies in front of UN office, US Consulate and the Parliament House buildings.
