ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah slammed the government over the recent drone strike in Hangu that killed six people on Thursday.

The recent drone strike was made on Sartaz Aziz not Hangu, Shah said.

Speaking at the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said that America has assured Pakistan that drone strikes will not be carried out during talks with the Taliban.

Shah said a drone strike after such a tall claim by foreign adviser was a challenge for the government. Shah said doubts were raised over the foreign policy being adopted by the PML-N-led government.

He also doubted if the Taliban will trust the government’s efforts for peace talks in the current circumstances.

Shah lamented that the drone attacks were intensified instead of being completely stopped.
