Summary President says govt keen to take measures to remove sense of deprivation in tribal areas.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - A delegation of Senators from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in here and discussed matters pertaining to development work in the area.

Matters regarding law and order and security also came under discussion.

The delegation included Senators Abbas Khan Afridi‚ Muhammad Idris Khan Safi‚ Malik Najam ul Hassan‚ Hilal ur Rehman‚ Maulana Muhammad Saleh Shah‚ Haji Khan Afridi and Hidayatullah.

Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain has said that the government is keen to undertake all possible measures to remove the sense of deprivation of people of tribal areas.

He was talking to a delegation of FATA Senators led by Senator Abbas Khan Afridi which called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday.

The President assured the delegation that the government is trying to bring the people of tribal areas into the mainstream of national life in terms of socio- economic development.

Law and order situation in FATA and developmental matters in their respective constituencies were discussed during the meeting.

The Parliamentarians apprised the President about situation in their respective areas. The delegation also thanked the President for meeting and appreciated his keen interest in the development of FATA.

The delegation included Senator Abbas Khan Afridi‚ Senator Muhammad Idrees Khan Safi‚ Senator Malik Najam ul Hassan‚ Senator Muhammad Saleh Shah‚ Senator Haji Khan Afridi and Senator Hidayat Ullah.
