Summary Khattak says provincial govt will adopt a constitutional course over NATO supplies issue.

PESHAWAR (Online) - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that his government will adopt a constitutional course over the issue of NATO supplies in the province.

He said this while presiding over a special meeting of the provincial cabinet on Monday.

The chief minister said that a resolution would be tabled in the assembly in consultation with opposition parties.

The cabinet discussed the situation in the wake of killing of Hakimullah Mehsud in a missile strike.

It also authorized the chief minister to consult the opposition and decide accordingly.

The cabinet decided that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, in its resolution, would give the federal government a deadline to block NATO supplies.

Meanwhile Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam- Fazl  has submitted a resolution against drone attacks in the Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KP) assembly secretariat on Monday

JUI-F parliamentary leader Maulana Lutfur Rahman submitted the resolution in the KP assembly secretariat here, sources said.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) also submitted resolutions against drone strikes in the Punjab and Sindh assemblies, which demand that the government block Nato supplies and take up the matter of continued violation of sovereignty by US drone attacks with the United Nations Security Council.
