ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would take Parliamentarians and the departments concerned over the situation created after killing of TTP chief Hakimullah Mehsud in a US drone strike.

According to the government sources, PM Nawaz Sharif would meet members of parliament from government and Opposition parties.

Meanwhile, Foreign Office authorities would also brief the prime minister on the situation.

Pakistan has been strongly condemning the drone strikes in its territory, terming the attacks as counterproductive in war against terrorism.
PM Nawaz Saharif raised the issue of drone attacks with the US President Barak Obama, to which US authorities did not give any assurance.
There have to two drone attacks since PM’s to visit to United States.

Pressure on the PML-N government regarding the drone attacks has been mounting recently after a report of International Amnesty.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan in a media talk has said that he would have ordered downing of drones if he had been the prime minister of the country.

PML-N leadership is facing a very embarrassing situation after the killing of Hakeemullah Mehsud in a drone attack on Friday.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has put forward condition of an end to the drone attacks for initiating talks with the Pakistan government.

In the light of the complex situation, PM Nawaz has decided to discuss the talks issue with the parliamentarians, both from treasury and Opposition benches.

According to government sources, Pm will also hold an important meeting with COAS Gen Perviaz Kayani in this connection.
