Ghazi murder case: Lawyer's objections against Musharraf bail plea accepted

Summary Lawyers once again would argue in favour of their stance against Pervez Musharraf on November 4.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) The court has accepted the objections raised by lawyers against bail petition of former military dictator Pervez Musharraf and interim challan submitted by the police.

Additional Sessions judge Wajid Ali resumed hearing of the case in which the counsel Qari Wajihuddin submitted his power of attorney in the court on the part of the petitioner.

Lawyers gave their arguments against the bail petition of ex-general Pervez Musharraf.

On the other hand, Musharraf’s counsel Ilyas Siddiqui raised the objection that discussion on bail has completed and the court is ready to announce the verdict in this regard. If lawyers on the part of the petitioner have some objections, they should move an application for cancellation of bail granted to Pervez Musharraf.

During hearing of the case, both parties put their arguments before the court which consulted the investigation officer that whether had collected more information from some other person.

Upon this, the investigation officer said that a TV reporter has recorded his statement.

At the end, the court accepted the petition for further discussion against Musharraf bail petition.

It is worthy of note that the trial of Ghazi Abdul Rashid case would be started on November 11 as no notification has been issued regarding jail trial; that is why the copies of the case can’t be divided among parties.
