Summary Eleven people, including a police man, were killed Saturday in different incidents of violence.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – There was no letup in Karachi violence as eleven more people lost their lives in firing incidents.

Ten people were killed in Layari alone where rival clashes between gang-war groups continued throughout the day.

The residents of various Layari areas were confined to their home due to armed clashes.

The police and Rangers intervened but failed to stop the violence till the filing of this report.

Ten people were killed in Ath Chowk, Moula Madad Chowk, Slaughter House, Cahkwara Football Ground Lee Market and Gulstan Colony areas.

Five people, including two children, were killed as result of firing near Layari General Hospital.

Shakeel Commando of Baba Ladla group was injured when two groups exchanged fire and threw hand grenades on each other in Edo Lane.

In Baldia Yousaf Goath area an ASI of police was killed by firing of unidentified persons.

Meanwhile, police have arrested eight members of Wasihullah Lakhu Group, including three kidnappers.

In another incident four armed men managed to escape after depriving a money changer of local and foreign currency notes worth lakhs.
