(Web Desk) - Islamabad High Court has directed to hold election for the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board on 2nd of next month.
The directives were issued by Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui.
During case proceedings, the court also ordered PCB to submit the schedule of the chairman’s election today.
On October 15, Nawaz, in the face of two looming deadlines, had dissolved the PCB and constituted an interim management committee to run the game’s affairs in the country. The committee comprised Najam Sethi, former cricketers Zaheer Abbas and Haroon Rasheed, former PCB chairman Shahryar Khan and former team manager Naved Cheema.
After the election, the interim committee would be rendered invalid.
Meanwhile, the court also completed its hearing into contempt notice against the PCB caretaker chairman for not holding the elections in 90 days.
