Summary Says Malala should have asked US president why Dr Afia had been jailed.

LAHORE (Online) - Ameer Jamaat e Islami Pakistan Syed Munawar Hasan has stressed upon Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to take up the issues of terrorism and the drone attacks in his meeting with the US President Obama and demand their stoppage.

Addressing a huge Eid congregation at Mansoora mosque, he said that thousands of innocent Pakistani had been killed in the drone attacks, therefore, these attacks should come to an end.

Syed Munawar Hasan said that Malala Yousafzai had already called on US President Obama and it seemed the US planned to project Malala as a role model.

He however said that the role model for the Pakistani women were the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his beloved daughter Fatima (RA).

He said if Malala really loved this country, she should have asked Obama for what crime Dr A’fia Siddiqui had been jailed for 86 years.

The JI Ameer said that peace could not be established simply through Aman Ki Asha, campaign.

Peace could be established when there was rule of law and justice, otherwise the people would rise for their rights and the things would lead to anarchy and lawlessness.

He said it was an admitted fact that the Muslim rulers were the stooges of the US President. They did not have their own ideology, plans or priorities.

The Muslim rulers and Sheikhs had turned into tyrants. They were the yes men of Obama. Unfortunately, he said, those coming into power through ballot were worse than dictators.

Syed Munawar Hasan said that the Islamic movements in different parts of the world had done great service to Islam and creating an awakening among the Muslim masses.

He said that Islam is the religion of peace and brotherhood. The US and the west fully knew the Islamic teachings, yet they had launched a hate campaign against Islam and the Muslims.

The Holy Quran was being put to trial, copies of the Holy Book were being torched and the caricatures of the Holy Prophet were being prepared to provoke the Muslims.

Later, Syed Munawar Hasan, visited the residence of Dr Aafia Siddiaui in Karachi and met the mother and the sister of Dr Aafia. Dr Aafia s mother told the JI Ameer that Mian Nawaz Sharif had promised the repatriation of Dr Aafia Siddiqui within three months, but that was not in sight.

At the meeting, the JI Ameer said it was deplorable that the government was not serious for the release of the jailed daughter of the country. He stressed upon the Prime Minister to honour his word in this regard.
