PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Three-day mourning is being observed across the province over the martyrdom of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Law Minster Israullah Gandapur in a suicide attack on Wednesday.
The national flag is flying at half-mast at all the government building in the province while Quran Khawani and special prayers for the departed souls are being held in mosques and other places.
Meanwhile, Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has ordered to tighten the security of all provincial ministers and advisers.
According to the sources, the CM has directed that all the ministers and advisers should inform the concerned police station ahead of attending any public gathering.
The ministers have also been directed to depute with them at least four security guards. The action has been taken after the recent militant attacks on ministers and government officials.
At least eight persons, including Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Law Minster Israullah Gandapur were killed and more than 30 others injured in a suicide attack on Wednesday at Gandapur’s residence in Kulachi when he was meeting visitors on Eid.
