DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Dunya News) - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Law Minister Israrullah Gandapur had been laid to rest in his native town on Thursday.

Earlier, his funeral prayer was held in the ground of Government College Kulachi.

KP Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak, provincial cabinet members, Aftab Ahmed Sherpao and other politicians attended the funeral.

At least eight people, including KPK minister Israrullah Gandapur, were killed and 30 others were injured on Wednesday when a suicide bomber exploded outside his residence in Dera Ismail Khan.

The attack reportedly took place when the minister was meeting visitors at his traditional village in Kulachi, which is located 45 kilometers from Dera Ismail Khan.

Gandapur had been elected during the May elections from PK-67 DI Khan-IV as an Independent but he later joined the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
