Summary Representatives of Cellular companies held a meeting with minister IT and Telecommunication.
ISLAMABAD (Online) - The re-verification of the unverified mobile SIMs would be completed by 30th October.
This was stated by representatives of the cellular mobile companies during their meeting with Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Anusha Rahman in Islamabad.
The Minister of State reiterated the stance of the government to continue providing investment friendly environment and restore the confidence of the investors in the IT sector‚ without making any compromise on national security.
The representatives of the companies said 133 billion rupees had been contributed in national exchequer by telecom sector during the financial year 2011-12.
This is in addition to the billions of rupees paid as other fees and levies to the federal and provincial governments and related authorities.
