Doctors' strike continues for 10th consecutive day in Quetta

QUETTA (Web Desk) - Doctors continued their strike in all Quetta’s hospitals on tenth consecutive day today (Friday) to press the demand for the recovery of abducted Dr. Abdul Munaf Tareen.

Heart specialist Dr. Abudl Munaf was abducted from Quetta on September 17 and police have failed to recover him, so far.

Call for the strike was given by the Young Doctors Association (YDA) and Paramedical Staff Association Doctors.

Patients faced a lot of problems due to closure of OPDs in almost all city hospitals including Quetta Civil hospital, BMC Hospital, Helper Eye Hospital and Fatima Jinnah chest and General Hospital.

The doctors became united for the recovery of Dr. Abdul Manaf, and formed a steering committee announcing daily three-hour token strike and demonstrations until the recovery of the heart specialist.

YDA, PMA, Bloch Doctors Forum and Baluchistan Medical Association established steering committee for united struggle safely recover their abudcted colleague.
