Summary The Sindh CM says that Karachi situation has improved by 25% since the start of targeted operation.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Following the Friday’s approval of Anti-Terrorism Amendment Bill by the Federal Cabinet, a high level meeting headed by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah held at CM House on Saturday to review law and order situation and targeted operation in the city.

The meeting was attended by Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, DG Rangers, Advocate General Sindh, intelligence authorities, Sindh Chief Secretary, Additional Secretary Interior, Secretary Law and Commissioner Karachi.

Briefing the media after the meeting, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said that the task of controlling the situation in the city would take time. He said that all political parties were taken on board on the launching of targeted operation in Karachi.

Qaim said that the operation was not targeted against any particular political party but against the criminal. He said that the citizens of Karachi had also expressed their confidence in the targeted operation.

The CM added that Rangers and police were carrying out the targeted operation on daily basis while DG Rangers was also submitting the written report of the operation on daily basis. He concluded that situation in Karachi improved by 25% since the start of targeted operation.
