ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – According to sources Pakistan Tehrik-e-Taliban Chief Hakeemullah Mehsud telephoned former PML-N MNA Javed Ibraheim and asked for the details of 50 Taliban-linked prisoners in Adayla.
Hameemullah sought information about 50 prisoners belonging to TTP, Sipah-e-Sihaba and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
About his conversation with the TTP leader, Javed Ibraheim said Mehsud wanted to know whether his 50 companions were alive.
Javed Ibraheim said he went to Adyala Jail, with the permission of Pakistan government, in order to obtain details about the prisoners mentioned by the TTP leader.
He said he was talking to government about the release of these prisoners.
There were differences among the various Taliban groups regarding peace negotiations with Pakistan government, Javed said.
However, the TTP spokesman Thurday night denied the reports of contact with Javed Ibreheim.
The sources have revealed that Interior Minister Choudhry Nisar also held a meeting with Javed Ibraheim in the presence of some ISI officials.
