KARACHI (Dunya News) - After Punjab, provincial assembly of Sindh also passed ‘One Dish Bill’ for marriage events.
The assembly met Wednesday morning to discuss crucial provincial issues including law and order situation, Karachi operations, and approval of bills.
After the submission of bill ensuring that only one dish should be allowed during the marriage parties, the house unanimously approved the bill.
The provincial lawmakers also approved the ‘Eye Witness Protection Bill’, a major development for smooth judicial process in law and order cases.
In most of the cases, eye witnesses either avoid giving statement or withdraw from their stance due to life threats.
The bill will ensure the protection of the eye witnesses as the provincial information minister Sharjeel Memon says that approval of the bill is a success of the house.
The assembly also passed “Happy Birth day to Altaf Hussain” resolution tabled by MQM lawmakers.
