QUETTA (Dunya News) Chief Justice of Pakistan has said that every officer who has been transferred to Balochistan should shoulder his responsibilities in dutiful manner.
Three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed hearing of Balochistan law and order and Missing Persons Cases and passing his remarks during hearing said that all officers are employees of the government of Pakistan.
So whenever they are directed to do their duty, they are bound to follow the official orders without showing any negligence or justification.
While expressing his resentment on officers who did not join their duties, Chief Justice said that every official who has been transferred to Balochistan must render his services while keeping in view rules and regulation.
He added that there is a large number of officials hail from Balochistan are rendering their services in Islamabad. Is it duty of the Supreme Court to direct officials to come to Balochistan.
Chief Justice ordered the Chief Secretary Balochistan that Chief Secretary Punjab should be directed to send all officials who have been transferred to Balochistan.
Chief Secretary Balochistan stated that an official has joined office by fax. At this, replying a question put by Justice Jawad S Khawaja, chief secretary said that fax joining has no worth in the sight of law.
The counsel on the part of Sindh government told the court that police officers Asad Raza, Aitzaz Ahmad and Farhat Khursheed have put their cases in the court. All of them are rendering their services in Karachi.
Chief Justice consulted what is status of stay order of lower court after the Supreme Court has issued special orders in this regard.
