Summary Interior Minister contacts Governor Sindh and Babar Ghauri, assures to remove reservations.
KARACHI (Web Desk) - Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Saturday telephoned Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and discussed law and order situation in Karachi.
Sources say both leaders decided to further expedite the operation in Karachi.
The Interior Minister has expressed satisfaction over the effective coordination and cooperation between Rangers and Police.
The two leaders also agreed that no political pressure would be considered and action would be taken against the criminals across the board.
Earlier on Friday the federal and Sindh governments had decided to continue the targeted operation against target killers, extortionists and other criminals in Karachi.
Sources in the federal capital said the Rangers operation, being supervised by the chief minister, will continue till the elimination of lawlessness from the city, and in this regard both the federal and Sindh governments will not accept any political pressure.
The government has again conveyed the message of ‘free hand’ to the Rangers to take the operation to its logical conclusion.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan contacted on telephone Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad who is in Dubai.
Dr Ishratul Ibad apprised the Interior Minister of reasons of his visit to Dubai.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan consulted Governor Sindh on Karachi situation.
It is significant to mention here that news regarding resignation of Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad were also rumoring on the following day.
Interior Minister also made telephonic contact with Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) leader Babar Ghauri.
Babar Ghauri complained about raid on MQM office during the conversation.
The minister assured MQM leaders to consider reservations of the party seriously.
