LAHORE (Dunya News) - Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has taken the notice of the rape of a five-year-old girl in Lahore after the news was aired by Dunya News.
Chief Justice has sought report from IG Punjab in this regard and directed him to submit report at 8:00am today (Saturday).
According to details, the girl was abducted and sexually assaulted and was dumped outside the Ganga Ram Hospital in a semi-conscious state on Thursday night.
The girl was transferred to the Services Hospital where she remained in critical condition for several hours.
Meanwhile, police have released five persons who were detained on suspicion of involvement in the case.
