ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - The special federal cabinet meeting headed by Prime Minister Nawaz sharif is underway in Islamabad.
The cabinet will endorse the decisions made at the All Parties Conference for peace and security in the country.
Overall law and order situation in the country will also be reviewed during the meeting.
The Prime Minister will take cabinet members into confidence on the decisions taken in the All Parties Conference (APC) to eliminate terrorism.
On Monday, all the political leaders backed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif s calls to begin peace talks with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) aimed at ending more than a decade of bloodshed.
"We repose full confidence in (the) efforts of the Prime Minister in this behalf and call upon the federal government to initiate the dialogue with all stakeholders," said a resolution passed by the representatives during All Parties Conference.
The move came a month after Sharif called for talks with the TTP during his first televised address to the nation since taking office after winning elections in May.
Pakistan s army and intelligence chiefs also attended the conference.
