Summary All Parties Conference (APC) would be held today (Monday) in Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD (Online) - At last much awaited All Parties Conference (APC) would be held today (Monday) in Islamabad in which major political parties would discuss the ways and means to fight against terrorism , talks with Taliban and other important issues.
APC has been declared in camera session , so media would not be allowed to cover the event, however it is expected that on concluding the conference, important decisions taken by the conference would be announced by government in a press conference.
In the APC the participation of main leadership from all political parties is expected, whereas Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani and DG ISI Lt.Gen. Zaheer-ul-Islam Abbasi would also take part in the meeting. The both high level military officials would give the briefing about the national security to the political leadership of the country.
The sources told that prior the conference, Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf Imran Khan and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak would meet Army Chief. Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif would also be present on the occasion.
Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah, JUI(F)’s Ameer Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, Haji Adeel from ANP and other heads of the parties have assured their presence in the APC.
Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, extended the invitation to Akhtar Mangal, Aftab Sherpao, Haji Adeel and parliamentarians from FATA.
The analysts not only from Pakistan but also from the whole world have focus their attention on the APC as, PML(N) government, after coming into power has reiterated its resolve several times to kick off the negotiation process with Taliban and PTI supports it.
