KARACHI (Dunya News) Talking to Dunya News Saturday MQM leader Farooq Sattar said his party welcomes PM Nawaz Sharif’s initiative for the formation of a national policy to counter terrorism.
“We are not against talks with anyone but government will have to very careful in talks with the terrorists,” he said.
The option of dialogue with terrorists could be dangerous, he said.
The state must hold talks with militants from a consolidated position, Sattar said.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sahrif in his address to nation had said that Pakistan government would prefer a peaceful settlement with the militants but state would use its power if required.
Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali has also said that first preference of government would be to secure peace through talks.
Government of Pakistan has convened an All Parties Conference in order to formulate a national counter terrorism policy.
