ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) The Supreme Court has sought an explanation from the federal government over appointment of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case regarding appointment of chairman NAB.
The court issued notice to the Attorney General Munir A Malik, with the direction to inform the court about appointment of new Chairman NAB.
Chie justice while passing his remarks said that the government has assured to appoint new attorney general within 20 days but still there is no progress.
Additional Prosecutor Fauzia Zafer told the court that no reference could be filed due to non-appointment of Attorney General.
