ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Information Minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said that hike in petroleum products prices are linked with International markets.
Rejecting criticism of some quarters on hike in prices of petroleum products‚ he said that those making criticism should give a practicable solution and the government will implement it. He said that the economic policies of the incumbent government will bring in stability in the prices of commodities.
The Minister said that the government is giving one hundred and seventy billion rupees subsidy on electricity. He said that had the previous governments focused on economy‚ this situation would not have occurred.
Pervaiz Rashid said that PML-N government s policies will enhance purchasing power of the masses.
