MIRANSHAH (Dunya News) - At least nine soldiers martyred and 21 others were injured when a security forces convoy was targeted near a check post.
According to official sources, the convoy was going to Data Khel from Miran Shah.
The injured were shifted to a hospital established at a Miranshah camp.
Sunday attack came a day after when US drone attacked a house in North Waziristan which killed four suspects.
It was among several IED blasts in the agency during recent months.
Dozens of army soldiers have been killed and several injured in incidents of IED blasts in the agency.
After the military operations in the tribal areas most of the banned outfits have changed their tactics and are using IEDs to target security forces’ convoys in the troubled areas, especially in Khyber, North Waziristan, and Orakzai agencies.
