Summary As many as 279 traffic wardens were sacked after being heard by eight senior officers including DSP.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Authorities have sacked over 270 traffic wardens who used fake educational documents for their promotions.

The issue came to surface when authorities formed a committee after some traffic wardens protested against their non-promotion.

366 educational documents and domiciles were found fake during scrutiny after the wardens were asked to re-submit their documents.

A case was also lodged with the Chohang Police Stations against the wardens and a separate committee was formed to look into the matter.
