Summary Wahid has said every possible help will be extended to Pakistanis in Syria in case of an attack.
WASHINGTON (Online): Pakistan ambassador in Syria Wahid Ahmad has said every possible help will be extended to Pakistani nationals in Syria in the event of attack on this country.
He said this in an interview with Voice of America here Saturday. He said all the necessary facilities are being provided to every Pakistani who wants to leave Syria.
About future of Pakistani staff working in Pakistan embassy at Syria he said any Pakistan who wants to leave has not to ask from us. All possible facilities are being provided to Pakistan embassy staff.
To a question about closure or opening of Pakistan embassy in the event of attack on Syria he said decision will be taken after reviewing the overall situation.
All emergency plans have been kept ready in this connection, he added. “We are fully ready to meet any situation”, he remarked.
“As ambassador it is my responsibility to take steps to ensure safety of my staff”, he held.
Responding to a question about receiving of any directive from foreign office for providing facilities to Pakistani nationals in Syria he said “our embassy is ensuring to extend every possible cooperation to Pakistanis in Syria in the light of directives of foreign office. We will provide cooperation to our country fellows to every possible extent ’, he held.
“We are in constant contact with foreign office for working out plan to meet any emergent situation”, he announced.
