LONDON - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that "Mohajir Republican Army" is another heinous falsity like "Jinnah Pur".
He urged Chief Justice of Pakistan to step into the issue and order an impartial investigation to unveil the the motives behind the launching of this fabrication .
“If this allegation proves right then a strict action should be taken against those who are responsible for it”, Hussain said.
Earlier, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan told the National Assembly session that the government was withdrawing its statement regarding Muhajir Republican Army.
He said that the report was presented to the Supreme Court without his permission.
Later, the he interior minister added that he had not said that the report regarding the Muhajir Republican Army was incorrect.
He said that the report submitted to the Supreme Court was an administrative and intelligence matter. “These are not the kind of reports which should be presented in the Supreme Court.”
The report presented by the attorney general mentioned a new group in Karachi, the Muhajir Republican Army. The report called for action against members of the group when they were identified.
The interior minister said that true path should be adopted to restore peace in Karachi.
Nisar added that he should not be compelled to state that why 50 percent area in Karachi has been pushed into a war like situation.
On the other hand, A 5-member bench of the SC headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Friday issued its detailed verdict in Karachi Law and Order Case.
