Summary PM Nawaz chaired a meeting to discuss anti-terrorism measures.

(Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has lifted ban on recruitment in the law enforcement agencies.

He was speaking at a high level meeting in Lahore on Friday which discussed anti-terrorism measures in the country.

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif‚ Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal‚ and Water and Power Minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif also attended the meeting.
 

He said the process of recruitment should start in the next ten days. He expressed reservations on the capacity of law enforcing agencies and said level of training of the personnel of the anti-terrorist forces should be at par with Pakistan Army.

The Prime Minister directed for creating anti-terrorism force at the earliest to speed up action against terrorists.
 

He also directed the Punjab government to come up with a comprehensive plan to overcome terrorism.
 

PM Nawaz said the federal government will provide all possible support to the provincial governments to curb terrorism.
