ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party has decided to become a party in Benazir Bhutto murder case.
This was decided in a high-level meeting of the party that approved a resolution in this connection on Thursday.
Secretary General of PPP Sardar Latif Khan Khosa has been given responsibility and authority to appear in the court on behalf of the party.
It has been learnt that Latif Khan Khosa has formally submitted an application in the court.
The resolution approved in the party meeting has also been attached with the application.
Former prime minister of Pakistan and PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in Rawalpindi in December 2007 when terrorists opened firing at her vehicle followed by a bomb blast.
The government at the time had stated that banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan was involved in the murder of Benazir.
An Anti Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi on Tuesday had indicted former military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf on charges of conspiring the murder Benazir Bhutto.
