HUB (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Gadani power project should be given top priority in view of energy in the country.
He said this at a briefing on Gadani Power Project at Lasbela Development Authority in Hub on Saturday.
Calling it a mega power project, PM Nawaz said there was no room for delay in the execution of the project.
The secretary of water and power briefed the prime minister about the 6,600 megawatt Gadani Power Project. He said under this project ten coal based power plants will be established in Gadani and China will provide assistance for the completion of the project.
The officials told that every province will get energy from this project.
Meanwhile, PM Nawaz was optimistic that completion of the projects will help overcome energy crisis besides changing the fate of the country, adding these will also increase facilities and exports.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar‚ Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif‚ and Petroleum Minister Khaqan Abbasi also attended the brief.
