Summary Two groups of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan clashed over extortion ‘rights’ and control over areas.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A conflict has started between two groups of Tehreek-e-Taliban here for seizing the control of an area and extortion. 

According to reports, Qari Yar Muhammad is heading a group of the banned outfit while Khan Zaman Mehsood is heading Wali-ur-Rehman group.

Wali-ur-Rehman group has got the control of Mangupir, Sohrab Goth and Gulshan-e-Boner.  Big industries of the city, factories and trucking stations are situated in these three areas.


Wali-ur-Rehman group has also started holding Jirgas to settle the disputes of Mohmand and Mehsood tribes.

Representative of the group Haji Yakoob takes decisions in the Jirgas while Wali-ur-Rehman group is shifting the money received in the Jirgas to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The intelligence agencies have tightened the security of the suburban areas of Karachi.

Ismail Mehsood, who was murdered in Manghupir three days ago, was a terrorist of a banned outfit. He was appointed as commander after the death of Sher Khan Mehsood.
