Summary The people of flooded areas have started migrating to safer heavens for survival.


NAROWAL (Dunya News) More than 130 villages have inundated due to flood in Sutlej, Chenab Rivers and Nullah Deik in Basanter while the people of these areas are bound to take shelter on roads. 


According to Dunya sources, floodwater has inundated about 28 health centers as well as 104 government schools in the surrounding of Narowal.


Apart from this, flood warning has been issued at the site of Kot Mithan due to flood in Sindh River which has overwhelmed a large number of villages whereas thousands of acres of crops have inundated as Chenab River in heavy flood.


In the same way, Haveli Lakha also has come in the grip of flood due to overflow at the point of Head Salmanki where dozens of houses have engulfed whereas thousands of acres of agriculture land have destroyed, leaving no hope for ill-fated people.


Moreover, the building of school in Chak Sojeke has flooded by water due to which affected people had to migrate to some safe heaven and they have started dwelling on the banks of Pakpatan canal.


On the other hand, Irrigation Department has closed Ford Wah Canal, Sadqia Canal and Pakpatan Canal as a precautionary measure.


The people of affected areas have appealed to the chief minister Shahbaz Sharif to install flood relief camps, medical camps and rescue for them so that they may be able to survive in hard times.


It is worthy of mention that more than 40 villages in the suburb of Hafiz Abad have also flooded.
