Summary Torrential downpour continues to lash different parts of the country.

 

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Intermittent rain continued in Lahore on the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr. The rain has broken the heat wave in the city and people are enjoying the pleasant weather.

 

However, Mall road, Court road, Impress road, Bilal Gunj, Ravi road, Bhati Gate, Nisbat road and Lakshmi chowk are areas where water has started to accumulate.

 

Islamabad has received the highest amount of 128 millimeters so far. Rawalpindi received 68‚ Muzaffarabad 74‚ Khuzdar 52‚ Kakul 27‚ Garhi Dopatta 22 and Balakot 14 millimeters of rain.

 

More rain is expected in Islamabad‚ central Punjab‚ Malakand‚ Kalat and Mekran divisions as well as Azad Kashmir during the next 24 hours.

 

Meanwhile‚ different parts of the country continue to remain in the grip of scorching heat.

 

The highest maximum temperature of 43°C was recorded in Dalbandin during the last 24 hours. It was followed by 43°C in Chilas and Bunji.

 

Temperature of some major cities including Islamabad was 23°C‚ Lahore and Quetta 24°C‚ Karachi 28°C‚ Muzaffarabad 25°C and Gilgit 22°C.
