Nawaz to celebrate Eid at home, Musharraf in sub-jail

Summary Majority of political leaders will celebrate Eid at their ancestral villages.


ISLAMABAD (Online): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will celebrate Eid at his residence in Raiwind while former president Pervez Musharraf will observe the occasion in sub-jail.

 

President Asif Ali Zardari will celebrate Eid in Aiwan-e-Sadr while the newly elected president Mamnoon Hussain in Karachi.

 

Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Syed Khurshid Shah will celebrate his Eid in Karachi. Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar, chief minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and railway minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq will celebrate Eid in Lahore.

 

Majority of political leaders, federal and provincial ministers will celebrate Eid at their ancestral villages.

 

Meanwhile, meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held today (Thursday) in Karachi for sighting of crescent of Eid-ul-Fitr.

 

Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, will preside the meeting.

 

Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will also meet on the same day at their respective headquarters for sighting of the moon.

 

The decision regarding confirmation of sighting the Shawaal moon will be taken in the meeting of these committees.
