Summary Says govt wants a security policy which is backed by the entire nation.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Information Minister Senator Parvez Rashid has said country’s policies will not change on one telephonic call and the elected representatives will formulate national policy under one roof on July, 12.
“Terrorism is not issue of one party but it is problem of the entire country. Country’s policy will not be changed on one telephonic call and elected representatives will evolve national policy under one roof”, he said this while talking to media men here outside the parliament on Monday.
He went on to say government wants to work out such security policy which is backed by the entire nation. Whatever step we take it should have ownership, he added.
He stated security agencies personnel would attend the meeting which will take place in camera at Prime Minister’s office.
Replying to a question he said Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf leader Ahsan Rashid has held out assurance about Imran Khan participation in July, 12 conference. We have learnt now he has gone abroad. Had he delayed his visit for one or two days it would have been better for the country, he added.
He stated the state did not allow access to information for ten years and did not give the right to vote and even then the citizens remained silent over it.
To a question he said inquiry is being conducted into Lahore bomb blast incident. It will come to light within a few days who are involved therein.
It is duty of state to eliminate terrorism from the country and ensure peace, he said.
Country’s independence and sovereignty are affected by those persons who don’t allow to administer polio drops, he said adding drone attacks also affect sovereignty of the country.
